“FRÁVIK”

“Frávik” (which translates to Deviation) is a group exhibition by Anna Hallin, Guðrún Vera Hjartardóttir, and Olga Bergmann. They present new works built on different foundations and materials, unified by a common theme — an exploration of material and its inherent properties.

Anna Hallin shows ink drawings on paper and clay paintings where tonal harmony, planetary surfaces, geometry, and timelessness have been the main influences.

Guðrún Vera Hjartardóttir presents dreamlike drawings and sculptures made of clay, tree branches, and stone, created from ideas and fragments about the nature and origins of perception in daily life and in nature.

Olga Bergmann exhibits wooden sculptures that are the result of ideas and processes where the material transforms during the shaping phase. She also shows composite small sculptures made from wood remnants, drawing inspiration from the structures of the environment or poetry — creating an interplay open to interpretation.
